Our commercial cattle operation consists of approximately 600 head of commercial mother cows. From this herd of cattle is where all of the beef is produced for our family-owned and operated retail meat company, 29 Branded Beef. A majority of these cattle can all be traced back to the original genetics that were brought to our Oregon ranch four-generations ago. We look forward to continuing with those genetics for years to come, as well as working to improve the carcass traits and efficiency of our cattle to produce the best beef products possible.

These cattle are born on the rangelands in Sherman and Wasco Counties during the late winter/early spring months and spend their summers in the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Eastern Oregon and the Mt. Hood National Forest in North-Central Oregon. They are supplemented with local hay during the winters but their primary feed source is the native grasses across the state of Oregon. Our cattle are all naturally raised, meaning that we don’t use any growth hormones or steroids in our program.
